God is consistent, He is there and He is Not silent. I'd love to share a praise report that builds the Faith I have in the Lord but first I have a prayer request.
Fundraising is hard work but its wonderful to see how God pulls things together and how God's people gather around to make it happen! I've raised 1,068 dollars for the trip to Russia so far. It's great to see how the Lord works and how God uses His people to gather around a cause like a missions trip. I still have a large chunk to raise for the ticket so I need your prayers.
Persistence in Prayer not only helps us learn patience but it also shows a couple of key things about our walks with the Lord.
1.) We have a faith and trust in Him that will not end.
2.) We do what He told us to do in the Bible!
That parable about knocking was pretty clear that persistence is key. Persistence in prayer along with faith can move mountains and 700 to 900 more dollars for a ticket is a little mountain to the Lord!

Now on to the Good stuff....:)
Alyssa, Kristin and I decide to throw a bbq to raise money for the upcoming missions trip and we budgeted 100 dollars for the supplies. 50 people bought tickets and we knew more would show up, so when we went to the store it was hard to decide what to purchase. We wanted everyone to like the food that they were going to be served and we also needed to purchase plates and cups ect. During that trip to the grocery store I think I said about 10 little prayers and said "I don't know" just as many times as we decided what to get and what to leave behind.
I left for work a little hungry since I was on a lunch break and a little moody since I wasn't sure how things were going to turn out. Alyssa and Kristin got the last things on our list and went to the checkout line. At work I kept worrying and wondering if we would stay within one hundred dollars. The total was zero dollars!!! Zero dollars because God sent someone to pay for all the supplies!!! They were standing in line and someone asked if the items were for the Missions bbq and then paid for it!!!
I'm not sure who this person was but that person did help my Faith and all out love for the Lord grow even deeper! I personally did not deserve for the Lord to have His hand in this situation. At the time I was moody and my faith was waning. How pure and wonderful is this God who loves even when we are most unlovely!? Sometimes He woos us by carefully timing the blessings that He gives. The bbq fundraiser went great! It was a gorgeous day, people liked the food, all of our friends were generous and I fell deeper in love with my Savior.

Missions trips are wonderful because we not only get to lend our hands and hearts to a resident missionary in another country, but we learn so much about the Lord in the process. When we want what He wants for the entire span of a missions trip that spreads into our everyday lives.
